You are encouraged to pick up gear the day before your start date any time after 1PM, free of charge.
Refunds for early returns are NOT offered. We recommend that you start with the minimum number of rental days & extend if needed.
Equipment Pickup Instructions:
Our rental area is located downstairs. If you have made a reservation, just check-in at the rental counter downstairs and then wait for direction from the rental team.
If you need to do a walk-in rental, you can start entering your information into the computers at the bottom of the stairs.
We will have you review your rental details to be sure all information is correct. You will also be given a rental card for each person in your group.
Please sit with your group and try and stay in one area, as it can get very busy down in the rental area.
We ask that any non-renters in your party do not take up bench area when we are crowded.
Equipment Return Instructions
We will pull up your information to check you in while you return your gear.
Return Your Poles: drop them in the metal basket labeled "Return Poles Here."
Return Your Boots & Helmet:
PLEASE BUCKLE AND TIGHTEN ALL BOOTS WHEN RETURNING THEM!
Then please place your boots and helmet in the GREEN bin.
Return Your Skis / Snowboard:
Please place your skis and snowboards in the return rack by the back doors.
Once a tech has checked in all your equipment, you are good to go!
Cancellation policy
If you need to make changes or cancel reservation, you will need to do so no later than 48 hours in advance. If you are a no-show or cancel without calling at least 48 hours prior, your credit card is subject to being charged for the entire reservation.

No Refunds are Provided for Early Returns
Here’s the thing: once you have the equipment, we are unable to rent it to another person. So we always recommend starting with the minimum number of days you want and then extending the rental as needed.
It is best to dress in winter clothing including a snow jacket, snow pants, hat, gloves and waterproof boots. Sunglasses, sunscreen, chapstick & a water bottle are great add-ins too!

Gold Ski Package
The Gold ski rental package, sometimes referred to as DEMO, has the biggest and best premium ski selection in Winter Park featuring over 60 men's & women's models from 16 top brands! Our Gold ski fleet is brand new each season and we personally put them to the test in order to give you the best experience! Our selection includes all-mountain skis, mogul skis, mid-fats, powder skis, backside, twin tips, and frontside carving skis. We have a ski for every skier and every condition! A Gold ski rental is the best choice for anyone looking to better their best, especially intermediate to advanced skiers. We can help you make a selection based on your skills and the current conditions. The Gold package includes brand new retail-end skis, bindings, high performance boots and poles.
Gold Snowboard Package
The Gold Snowboard Package offers riders a chance to try out the best equipment available with the choice of different rocker and shape profiles, a more responsive binding and boa equipped boots. We offer all-mountain, directional, powder specific, free ride and park & pipe boards with and without rocker technology. Taking out Gold-level gear is a great way to experiment with different technology, or just to try out a specific snowboard. The Gold Snowboard Package includes gear from RIDE, Rome, Bataleon, K2. and more and our team can help you choose the best gear for your ability and the conditions. This package includes snowboard, bindings, & boots.
Kids Ski Package
For kids 12 and under! This package includes easy entry comfy boots and gender specific twin tip skis in cool kid approved colors! We work with kiddos & parents to make sure everything fits correctly & they understand how to get in & out of the gear so they stay safe & have a blast! This package is for kids 12 and under but please note: If your child cannot comfortably or safely fit in designated children's equipment they will need to rent adult gear. Insider Tip: Helmets are required for kids ski lessons & they're cheaper to rent in town than at the ski resort, be sure to add one on to your child's ski rental. *Images are Representative, Exact Equipment May Vary*
Kids Snowboard Package
Available to kids 12 and under. The children's snowboard rental package includes a full rocker symmetrical twin board and comfy kid friendly boots. We'll show kiddos how to get in and out of the bindings and talk with them about how to use the gear when we set them up with the equipment. Ski & Snowboard Rental FAQ
How long does the equipment fitting take?
In general each person takes about 10-15 minutes to fit with gear. We aim to get people in and out as quickly as possible, but we don't ever want to sacrifice quick turn around time for your comfort & safety.
If you're crunched for time, here are a few tips:
Reserve at least 2/8 hours in advance.
Avoid PEAK pickup times. 8 - 9:30am & 4-6pm are typically our busiest times. Remember, you can always pick up your rentals the day before your reservation any time after 1PM.
Be aware of busy seasons. If you are planning to come to Winter Park over the winter holiday, President's day weekend, or spring break then be prepared for the possibility of a little wait.
How do you know what equipment I need?
Our expert technicians take into account all the information you provide us in advance. We also measure your foot & speak with you about your experience level before fitting you with ski gear.
What if I need my equipment adjusted?
We don’t ever want you to be uncomfortable. If your boots don't feel right, come back and we will make sure you leave happy. Feel free to call us too - 970-726-2868.
When do I return the equipment?
All equipment is due back by shop closing on your last day of renting. Want to extend your rental? No problem, just give us a call & let us know--we can settle up when you return. ***During sold out time periods we cannot extend rentals.
What is a rental packages?
A rental package includes skis, boots, bindings and poles or snowboard, bindings and boots. You can add on helmet and goggles. Check out our package description pages for detailed information & pricing on all of our ski & snowboard rental packages.
Do you rent helmets and goggles?
Yes, and yes! Shouldn’t everyone wear a helmet and have eye protection? You can add a helmet to any rental or rent one on it's own. We also rent goggles for skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Goggles may not be booked in advance.
What if I have my own boots?
Not a problem, and you will save a few bucks a day off the package price. Be sure to select a “ski only” package. (Please note that we will need to inspect your boots to make sure they are compatible with our bindings)
What does the damage waiver cover?
The damage waiver is optional and covers damage to the equipment caused by normal wear and tear. It does NOT cover negligence, theft or loss. The damage waiver can be selected at time of booking.
