Overview

Come nose-to-nose with an endangered Florida panther, witness life-saving care at our David A. Straz, Jr. Manatee Critical Care Center, go on a safari through Africa, and so much more! Every visit supports our commitment to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for animals and continues to inspire future generations to join us in saving animals and preserving the world we share.

ADVENTURE AWAITS!
From Africa to Asia and beyond, there is so much to explore! Make the most out of your visit and explore everything we have to offer.

MANATEE CIRCLE
The fun begins as soon as you step foot through the Zoo’s Main Entrance! Visit the Main Free-Flight Aviary just inside, or splash around in the Manatee Fountains. You can also grab a bite to eat at Macaw’s Landing, check out the fun photos taken by our Zootastic photographers, symbolically adopt an animal at Nature’s Kingdom Gift Shop, or simply continue on your adventure to one of our 5 realms.

ASIA
Get up close to the many rare and endangered animals in the Asian Gardens, including the Malayan tiger, sun bear, and Indian rhino.

FLORIDA
Get up close to real Florida wildlife unlike anywhere else. Our Florida realm is an immersive area that features unobstructed and sprawling views of Florida panthers, black bears, manatees and more. Witness life-saving care of majestic manatees, come nose-to-nose with native Florida species, and learn how you can safely live alongside the many species that share our state’s diverse ecosystem.

CAROUSEL CIRCLE
Follow Zoo Boulevard from the Zoo’s Main Entrance to the Carousel Circle where you can ride the The Carousel—included in your admission, grab a sweet treat or hot dog, play games & win prizes, all before you continue on to Wallaroo, Africa, or Roaring Springs.

PRIMATES
Swing into Primate World where monkey business is our specialty. The majority of the primates you will find here are endangered in the wild. As you visit and learn more about each, you will find out what you can do to protect them.

WALLAROO
G’day, mates! Fancy a walk-about with a wallaby? Or a close encounter with a koala? Then take a stroll through Tampa’s own land down under, Wallaroo Station. This Australia-themed family area provides hours of enjoyment and discovery for even the littlest adventurers.

AFRICA
Get up-close and personal with some of the world’s largest, rarest, and most impressive animals, including African elephants, giraffes, shoebills, zebras, white rhinos, painted dogs, okapi, pygmy hippos, and more! Dine at Safari Pizza Co., or relax with a cold drink at our Beer & Wine Garden. There’s good reason Africa is one of the most popular spots in the zoo!
