Overview

The Paddle Board Adventure will have you gliding on the water in no time with this private, fully-guided stand-up paddle boarding tour. Launching from the Mobbley Bayou Wilderness Preserve in Oldsmar, FL, the Paddle Board Adventure will take you through the shallow waters and mangrove islands of Tampa Bay.

During your tour, our Adventure Guides will share information about the Florida ecology and the local wildlife you see along the way, as well as share some of the history of Upper Tampa Bay and Oldsmar, FL. This adventure will also include a brief lesson prior to hitting the water to make sure that you know all of the tips & tricks for paddling. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned paddler, this adventure is perfect for everyone!

Additional Information

Everyone is 12 years of age or older and does not weigh over 270lbs.

Everyone in your party is able to swim.

Will I fall in?
While it is a possibility that you may fall in the water, but not as many people fall as you think! And, if you do fall in, we’ll help you get right back up and paddling quickly!

A liability waiver must be signed by all participants.
All waivers should be completed prior to your tour online. If you need a digital copy to print, let us know by calling (813) 448-5635. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver by a parent. If the parent is not present, a photocopy of the parent’s driver’s license must accompany the signed waiver. Children under 15 must be accompanied to the facility by an adult. Empower Adventures Tampa Bay, LLC and the City of Oldsmar shall not be liable for any accident or injury suffered by a guest while using the facilities.

Know before you go

All necessary gear will be provided – boards, paddles, USCG approved life vests, and bottled water – and the pre-tour lesson will give you a confidence boost, as well as the know-how you need, before you hit the water.

Our Paddle Board Adventures will launch from Mobbly Bayou in Oldsmar, and take you through the waters of Upper Tampa Bay.

What should I wear?
We recommend that you wear clothing that can get wet. While most of our adventurers stay dry, there is a chance you will get wet. Dryfit type shirts work best, bottoms can be bathing suits, running shorts, yoga pants, etc. Water shoes are recommended. We advise that eyewear (like sunglasses) should have a retaining strap or string if they are prescription or expensive glasses

What should I bring with me?
Please bring water with you, it’s essential to stay hydrated! It’s a great idea to bring a snack for energy. Sunscreen, sunglasses, water shoes, and a hat are recommended. Phones or cameras can be brought along at your own risk but need to be in a waterproof case with a float attached. We also recommend that you bring a towel & a spare change of dry clothes to leave it in your car until done. We have dry storage available for car keys.
