The Gatlinburg SkyLift was the first four-season scenic chairlift in the south when it opened in 1954. This landmark transports guests from the heart of town up 1,800 feet above sea level to the top of Crockett Mountain, where the record-breaking Gatlinburg SkyBridge is located. Overview

Ride the yellow chairlift to the best views in Gatlinburg and cross the record-breaking SkyBridge, the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America.

  •  The Gatlinburg SkyBridge, located atop the SkyLift at 1,800 feet above sea level, is the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America and a one-of-a-kind experience in the Smokies. Spanning almost 700 feet across a deep valley, it offers panoramic views and a 30-foot see-through glass flooring. Visitors can take a leisurely walk across the bridge, taking in the breathtaking scenery at their own pace. The SkyCafe on the first level offers good food and drinks, making it a great spot to cool off on a hot day. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside on the front deck, the SkyCenter offers breathtaking views that are unmatched day or night. 
  •  The Gatlinburg SkyTrail is a scenic walkway connecting both ends of the SkyBridge, offering guests the chance to hike through the mountains and enjoy stunning views of the iconic landmark. The trail spans over one-third of a mile and features three sections, including the Elevated-Boardwalk, Tulip Tower, and the Path. The Elevated-Boardwalk is a unique wooden walkway with interactive signage providing information about the SkyBridge's engineering, the history of the Gatlinburg SkyLift, and the 2016 wildfires. The Tulip Tower, accessible by two rope bridges, features four elevated viewing platforms and provides a unique view of the Smokies and SkyBridge. The Path is a non-boardwalk portion of the trail cut into the natural hillside with spectacular views of the highest peaks in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Each lift chair can only hold 3 people maximum.It is recommended that infants be carried in a harness/wrap. Children should be accompanied by adults.

Access to the Skylift/Mountain is weather permitting; ice build up, high winds, or lightening in the area can temporarily close down the Skylift,

Dress for the weather and the elevation you will be heading to.
