Tours to Disappearing Island can only happen when the moon and the tides are just right, if this tour is available while on your vacation, this is the one you want to book. Disappearing island is a shoal located just off the tip of Daufuskie Island and it only appears at the lowest of the monthly tides.

On a Disappearing Island tour you will experience everything from one of our famous dolphin tours like viewing the dolphin up close, learning them by name and their habits, along with some great music, laughs and a bunch of surprises for the kids. But that’s not all, the boat will pull right up to the sand and give you chance to hop off and explore. We typically see all sorts of shells including sun dials and many times starfish galore!

You’ll get a chance to learn about all of the items you see and as always we never keep anything living.

Lowcountry Watersports strives to protect wild dolphins. Dolphins are protected by the National Marine Mammal Act; therefore, we do not touch, chase, pursue, harass, feed, or swim with wild dolphins. It is illegal and considered inhumane

What size/kind of boat are we riding on?
We will be aboard either a 35-45 foot pontoon boat, with full shade coverage, and comfortable seating.

We allow cancellations up to 24 hours prior to scheduled activity. All of our activities have limited availability so absolutely no refunds are available within 24 hours. Tours leave on time and no refunds are given if you miss your trip.
In the event of inclement weather it is up to the captain or guide to make a determination based on safety. If we cancel an activity we will provide a full refund.
